I was lucky enough to be given a nice oak bench by one of the villagers, so called round with a trailer and returned to smartbear towers for a swift garage make over

Not exactly a poor bunch, your neighbours!
Hardly the kind you expect to be stealing church pews.

I noticed a nice mclaren sports car being taken away for a service a short while ago, the people who own the house are also McLarens so i had to ask if there was a connection
Just a coincidence apparently
They’ve got tennis courts etc etc, I’m not jealous at all.

Lucky sod. That's a nice bench (too good to put beer and a kettle on)! I'm moving to Zummerzet!
My neighbours are kind enough to donate empty vodka bottles, which they thoughtfully wedge into my front hedge. Some are even kind enough to impale their chip cartons onto the front railings. Bless 'em
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.
