I like those, gone with a similar theme to me I think, similar to your surname and just change the numbers

Never really appealed to me but I would be willing to maybe spend £200 or so, too much more than that is just pissing away money imo :idunno:

Being born in 64 and having a 64-plate Z, I found a plate that suits me pretty well.
Then the missus got her 53-plate E85 and we followed the same theme for her.
(Though she wasn't born in 53!!! Phew, think I got away with it.)

I think one has really arrived when one doesn’t require a number plate on one’s car

That I do believe is rather unique

Personalised number plates are a complete waste of money. I've got 3 and my wife has one. :?

When I picked up my Zed my Father in law surprised me with a personalised plate - I actually quite like the normal one it just seems to be a decent combination - but I too will be rocking the personalised plate when the V5 comes through

He held on to it hoping that he would get a call from Padre McCarthy. Am I right?

I’d always fancied one but it seemed like vanity to me. Then I reasoned that I never indulge (or have any interest) in personal items such as male jewellery or high end wrist watches, so I went ahead and splashed out around £600 on a nice plate (X3 + my initials).

It’s been with me on 10 cars now and I feel very comfortable with it :D

I've had mine on every car since I was 18. Was a present from mother as my nickname at school was Melmo. Shame M3 LMO was way out of her budget
