There's a few car-themed places I'd like to visit and I'm hoping that there'll be enough interest to have some mini-meets at them. Ideally I'm looking for places like these that are up to about two hours from Stafford (but I'm pretty flexible):
- Caffeine & Machine Needs no intro/explanation!
- The Motorist Based near Leeds. Judging by Facebook the Sunday Coffee and Cars is popular
- Great British Car Journey A new museum in Derbyshire where you can also drive a range of British cars Check out HubNut's behind the scenes video on it
- Coventry Transport Museum A great museum and it's free
- British Motor Museum At Gaydon, just off the M40 so easy to access
- Bicester Heritage I want to attend a Sunday Scramble
- Lakeland Motor Museum An excuse to visit the Lake District
- Super Sausage Cafe, Towcester - suggested by dr_john
- Shelsley Walsh, nr Worcester - suggested by dans6490
- The Ponderosa Cafe & Gift Shop, Llangollen - suggested by jamesditchy
- Ace Cafe London - event being organized in September by firebobby
- AV8, Cotswold Airport - event being organized in June by firebobby
- Haynes International Motor Museum, Yeovil - suggested by Number5
- National Motor Museum, Beaulieu - suggested by Mr Tidy
- Brooklands Museum, Weybridge, Surrey - suggested by Mr Tidy
- Are there any that I'm missing? If you have suggestions, please let me know and I'll update the list.
- Who's interested in some small meets centred around any of these places? We could combine a visit with an organized drive.
I don't finish work until mid-July but I have some annual leave left to take. I'm trying to time everything with restrictions gradually easing and receiving vaccinations.
Let me know what you think!
