Anyone remember Paul & Steph Newcastle?

Post by paulgs1000 » Wed Oct 28, 2020 9:55 am

I wanted to post that my wonderful wife Steph passed away on Saturday 24th after a dreadful 18 month battle with breast cancer, at St Oswald's Hospice. Those of you that knew us will understand what a monumental loss this is for me and the family.
The Z4 forum was an important part of our lives and thankfully we created many marvellous memories on runs and Nationals, tours to Scotland and our own runs in the North East such as the Castles and Coast. We made many friends and I was blessed with a wife who enjoyed spirited driving, could read a map and programme a Satnav under heavy braking and cornering and always said she felt safe when out with me - how brilliant is that. . .
She had a full motorcycle licence and we had many years on motorcycles before we came to sportscars after she saved my life when I collapsed with Cardio myopathy 14 years ago - we thought it would be a safer option.
Brilliant times and fantastic memories of me and Steph that will last forever. Thanks Z4 forum.
And all of you - do make the most of every second you have - you just never know when it might end.
Much love to all,
RIP Steph my co-pilot in life.
Paul (paulgs1000) x x

Hi Paul, so sorry to hear of your loss, Steph was obviously a wonderful person who I unfortunately never met due to the fact we are at opposite ends if the country I’ve met you a couple of times and I always enjoyed reading your write ups of your days out with other Z4 owners driving through wonderful countryside. RIP Steph. Take care Paul x

So sorry to hear that.

It brings back memories of my first wife who died in similar circumstances 20 years ago. I know what you are going through, although time is a great healer fond memories will persist forever.

My condolences and best wishes to you.

So very sorry to hear this Paul, id often wondered where you'd gone from the forum but you were obviously dealing with other issues.

It will hopefully be of some comfort all the wonderful memories you have of lots of fun times shared with your mutual loves of all things motoring as well as what sounds like a long and happy partnership. My condolences my friend

So sorry to hear this very sad news Paul,
We were only thinking about you both the other night whilst looking at the pics of our runs out together and remembering our happy times with you both.
We both thought Steph was a lovely, happy, genuine, and caring person and i know she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
R.I.P. Steph .

Hi Paul, I'm s**t with this sort of thing, but really sorry for you. Think I only met Steph once (well for 4 days on the NC500), but having met you a few times and knowing what you did together I can only offer my deepest sympathies.

Paul, I too lost my first wife to cancer. It's a terrible thing to deal with and no matter how much advice I got, it turns out everyone does it differently.
All I can offer is a listening ear should you need to vent off at someone.
Thinking of you and sending you my best wishes.
