Does anyone know when BMW release the Sat Nav updates please?
I don’t particularly want to update the system to have it one year out of date the day afterwards- I suspect they will release the update at roughly the same time each year?

I thought there was 3 or 4 updates a year.
The link says BMW advises to update once or twice a year which would mean there is at least 2.

That makes the 2015 version in Mrs K‘s car look well our out of date!

Is there a price advantage and are there any downsides to going to another provider?

There are several suppliers.. it’s not clear to me whether they are all ‘unapproved’ except of course the BMW Web site downloaded version..

This example appears to be bonafide but ....

Clearly some of the eBay ones are cracked bootlegs

I understand the Forum doesn’t condone use of illegal copies..
