Does anyone know when BMW release the Sat Nav updates please?
I don’t particularly want to update the system to have it one year out of date the day afterwards- I suspect they will release the update at roughly the same time each year?

I thought there was 3 or 4 updates a year.
The link says BMW advises to update once or twice a year which would mean there is at least 2.

Is there a price advantage and are there any downsides to going to another provider?Pbondar wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 8:49 am Ron here’s your answer. https://www.bimmer-tech.net/blog/item/2 ... ation-maps

There are several suppliers.. it’s not clear to me whether they are all ‘unapproved’ except of course the BMW Web site downloaded version..ronk wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 4:52 pmIs there a price advantage and are there any downsides to going to another provider?Pbondar wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 8:49 am Ron here’s your answer. https://www.bimmer-tech.net/blog/item/2 ... ation-maps

This example appears to be bonafide but ....
Clearly some of the eBay ones are cracked bootlegs
