Has Political correctness gone too far?

I see the Fawlty Towers “Don’t mention the war” episode has been withdrawn along with Little Britain - What’s next ? Dads Army?
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Punkhawallah rights have already been mentioned Ron, they’re demolishing the pyramids next as they were made by slaves

I've got a copy of all episodes if you want them.

...although in this case, it's not the German bit that's got it banned, it's the Major's description of Indian vs West Indian cricketers :o

I thought that had been thoroughly debunked by Egyptologists? Yes, slaves were used in Egypt, but not for the pyramids...as that was a well paid, well respected job.

I’m sure slaves would have been involved somewhere along the line, they’re probably helping to run this forum behind the scenes right now

Yes, Hod-carriers have always been well-paid and members of the Freemasons...

Benny Hill at the next level. Too many bored people in the world right now me thinks.

A bit of compulsory unpaid national service would sort them out...

Yes it has, I read today the BBC is looking to withdraw Gavin and Stacey from its streaming service too, due to the references to Chinese Alan and Seth the Black Fella, crazy if you ask me :?

We hear about the sweat shops in Asia where young children are treated like slaves, making trainers and clothing. How long before Nike trainers are being burnt or thrown in the local harbour

In recent years we have gradually seen free speech eroded. A wrong word or a politically incorrect view and you are in trouble. These latest episodes will, I think, lead to some sort of backlash. The National Front are already planning counter demonstrations. Enoch Powell’s prophecies may yet be fulfilled. I am glad I am not in the police force. Poor devils! They are going to be the meat in the sandwich if things do escalate. Let’s just hope that it all calms down. It seems such a long time ago that we were looking forward optimistically to a new start.
