Priti Patel never ceases in her bid to raise the stupidity bar to new levels.

Earlier in the year she told us that we must wage war on counter terrorism

Then she told us that the number of Covid-19 tests was "Three hundred thousand, thirty four, nine hundred and seventy four thousand”.

Last week she told us that we should celebrate the fact that shop lifting had fallen since the lock down

And today she told the Home Select committee that the reason the government didn't ask air passengers to self-isolate was both because we had more and fewer passengers than other countries. Shrödinger’s Airline anyone?

Even the much lambasted former Labour shadow home secretary would struggle to match these levels of nonsense

Her level of intelligence (lack of) is demonstrated by the fact that she omits the "g" at the end of every word endin' with "ing". Same about the present Mayor of London.

You can blame the identity politics types for Priti. Bojo was just avoiding the Guardianista meltdown that picking an all white male front bench would trigger.

She is by clearly more mentally coherent than Diane though.

Like a lot of people I found there wasn't really a party I wanted to vote for or strongly preferred. Can't imagine we will have to wait 20 years for a change though.

I did vote and I always have done. Parties in power and in opposition can and do change - lets see what happens after the current crisis passes. Not holding out much hope for the current Home Secretary though. A month can be a long time in politics let alone 20 years.
