Advice on Rally days

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of a Rally day?

Its the big 50th birthday for me and I have been thinking about doing a rallying day to celebrate (if that's the correct term!). The choice is somewhat bewildering, with lots of companies offering different options and pricing. I was hoping to get as much driving as possible, and was thinking of spending around £500. I live in West Yorkshire but would travel if someone had a good recommendation, but obviously something closer would be preferable.

So has anyone done one, or know of anything I should be looking out for.
