I'm unsure how these things work as haven't read their blurb but if the receiver does work then isn't it simply scanning the airwaves, so basically stealing other broadcasters streaming?Nictrix wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 9:29 amJust about to post the same thing.TitanTim wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 8:54 am Theres no such thing as a free lunch.

Read the crap about the ‘Dragons’ investing, quote ‘The first dragon’, no name, then the 2nd is ‘James’, James who? No other dragon named used but one invested 1.5million..... Two namelsss dragons and a guy from Stockport....Good enough for me...where do I sign...?
What a load of crap..... Get as rich as quickly as possible scam then leg it before they get caught. Mind you I do feel a little sorry for anyone that’s fallen for this scam, everyone wants a bargain don’t they and unfortunately some fall for what they read, the power of the written word.

It’s a cheap Freeview antenna, which scans publicly available frequencies. It cannot ‘scan’ for streaming channels unless it has access to the internet, and even if it could pick up satellite signals without a dish it wouldn’t be able to decode them.
It cannot and does not receive any streaming channels (e.g. amazon prime, Netflix, etc.) or encrypted subscription channels (e.g. Sky, Virgin, BT Sport, etc.) despite them claiming that these services are “legally obligated to send them over the air” - they’re not, and obviously don’t.

Total scam - cable & sat tv companies *do not* have to broadcast a free-to-air signal as well.

Thanks for the explanation, I did wonder how this Bright TV box actually worked and it's claims, but I can see how people could be easily sucked in at the asking pricemmm-five wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 1:48 pmIt’s a cheap Freeview antenna, which scans publicly available frequencies.
