I get so fed up of reading for sale adverts written by people who think brought is the past tense of buy. It really does my f###ing head in!

I've just read one on eBay where they use it several times throughout their ad.

Oooh a grammar spelling and punctuation rant - allow me to add the phrase 'peace of mind'.

When you do something preventatively for instance, it is for peace of mind - so you aren't worrying about it.

Not to be confused with giving someone a 'piece of your mind' you tell them in strong terms how you feel on a particular subject.

'Piece of mind' is absolutely not a thing.

Only today I had to explain to the wife how two words could sound the same yet be spelled differently.
The example I used was:

"If only you could curb your tongue as well as you kerb your alloys"

I have seen "top draw" when I thought it was "top drawer"
Which one is correct?

I would have put money on 'top draw', however a quick google and it would seem its 'top drawer'

Reminds me of people who think they've got "Chester draws" and are completely oblivious that they're called a chest of drawers.

I'm serious, search for "Chester draws" in eBay
