Is it a password you’ve used in the past? Possibly got it from a data breach like TalkTalk etc (don’t know if they had password info stolen).

Worth checking your phone is up to date etc and is the password still in use? Worth changing them just to be sure.

But as above, probably safe to ignore, our users get similar types of mail.

Ignore it and stop using that password (if you haven't already).

Your details will have been included in one of the big data breaches (most likely Linkedin). These guys are just trying it on.

You can look up which hack/breach supplied them with your email/password via https://haveibeenpwned.com/

Just enter one of the emails you use (I’ve got hundreds of throwaway ones in use for sites I think are dodgy) and it will let you know where it was grabbed from.

BS all day long. You know when someone reads an email because of black magic called a read receipt. It seems like they might be using an old list of accounts and harvested bits of passwords that are washing around on the web, trying to scam you in to believing they have something. If they had a juicy money-shot or proper data they would have revealed it to reinforce the demand or simply used it to compromise accounts for gain. I'd update my browser, check the device with a free security app and change passwords where the partial password is used just to feel sure.

 these days, something like that would go viral and make you famous.

That equals lots and lots of money, so it can only be a good thing 8)

I've had dozens of these and ignore them all. They're either chancers or there's dozens of videos of me tossing off to scissoring videos going round the internet !
