Break-in

Post by greg81 » Wed May 08, 2019 9:53 am

Second time in 2 years I've had my car broken into overnight and ransacked. Car was definitely locked as I check it every night before bed and double checked last night as i had to go out to get something.

No forced entry and no damage caused so not sure what the hell has gone on :(

Dash cam, a box of new expensive xenon bulbs and about £20 in small change all gone.

Gutted.

Bah, really feel for you. An awful thing to wake up to. What model by the way, keyless entry? The new range of smart security cameras might well be worth investing in as a deterrent if nothing else.

Sorry to read that OP. There are some absolute scum out there. What car was it? There are some very cheap bits of kit on Amazon that can capture the code on certain cars (fords are terrible for this) and simply unlock the doors. The keyless entry is a thieves paradise. There really should be a total recall on that type of technology.

I didn't buy a Ford ST as the insurance was ridiculously high for the car it is...all down to being the most stolen car over the past 5 years.

Sorry to hear you've had a visit from a scum-bag OP.

I thought stealing things from cars was getting less common these days? Makes me glad both of mine are over a decade old.
