Hang in there my friend

Post by gov » Tue Apr 09, 2019 4:14 pm

Update - my boy is back home with a ton of meds :D :D he's wandering about familiarising himself with his home !

Have to say Vets were fantastic - gave us an update every day - charged only £380 that included a week's worth of special food as well as all meds - bearing in mind he was hospitalised on a iv for 4 nights plus the operation very reasonable.

Thanks to everyone for best wishes

Tony

Brilliant! Wish your vet lived near to us. Our vet has just sold out to MediVet. They take your eyes out and come back for the sockets.

Hope the best for Dexy!

I'm still unexpectedly grieving rather a lot after my 'adopted' cat Koosie departed this world not so long ago.
Wasn't even mine, belonged to a neighbour which I found out only 2 years ago! He just walked into the back of the house one day 7 years ago, liked what he saw and decided to become a regular visitor.
Always made him welcome and he was here at the house every single day more or less and I became very attached to him.
Developed a thyroid problem and went downhill very quickly until the owner informed that they would put him out of his misery. Poor little bleeder. Miss him terribly. :(

Would Sir require any more cushions?

Agreed. But so many vets have sold out to them. We are currently trying to find a decent independent vet in the Lincoln area but they are few and far between and don’t start me on the criminals who run pet insurance schemes! :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

Great news Gov!

I wish our vet’s charges were as lenient as yours, we paid an arm and a leg a few years back for treatment including a few nights hospitalisation for our sick cat.

My boy is feeling better now :D despite the rather rotund look he's now on a special diet of wet food with added water and a cystease tablet a day - back to being a demanding pain in the arse
