Formula E

Wow - have to say I'm now a convert of Formula E - watched the live coverage this morning on BBC2 - cars have massively improved since the inception of the sport - cars seem to last a lot longer and run faster - some famous names ( sons of legends ) - noise seems improved too oddly - that high pitched whine sounds a bit like my mate's Boxster :o

Will definitely be watching the next stage live in 5 weeks - and we have a Brit - Sam Bird - let's hope he keeps the podium place today :D

I've been trying to get into this for years, ever since it was broadcast on channel 5.

The car swap thing was laughable, but I think they've got rid of that now, iirc.

The new cars look great, but the street tracks are absolutely crap. The UK one was particularly terrible as there were no overtaking spots whatsoever

Until they compete on proper race tracks, then I'll not be wasting my time watching anymore.

They also don't advertise it enough. I had no idea it was on BBC2.

Plenty of overtaking in this morning's race - road circuit in Hong Kong - next race is in China

I watched a couple of races a few years ago.

I see it has improved, but I just can't get excited about racing cars without an ICE in them.

Although I suppose one day I may have to!

This season with the newer cars and a full race without the car swap has improved the show.
But the racing is defiantly better than F1. At least there's overtaking :driving:
