The best 2 car engines I've heard are both V10's. The Lexus LFA and the Porsche Carrera GT.
Both the closest you'll get to a F1 sound on any road car. Awesome
Imola red E86 Z4M. Genuine CSL's, eventuri intake, supersprint race exhaust, zhp.
E86 3.0si Phoenix Yellow. 19" Veeman VFS23's - Sold
996 turbo x50 - Sold
Noble GTO3R - Sold

Mine exploded about a month after I px’ed it back to the bike shop I bought it from, leaving half it’s gearbox contents spread over the A127 Southend arterial road :P
I’ve owned around 50 bikes but this is the one that stands out from the rest

Bike engines.
Any 500 cc two stroke until they went.
Desmosedici RR road bike 200hp based on the MotoGP bike at the time.
My fave though has to be the Aprilia RS3. 230 HP /135 KG in the early 2000's.Thats not far off what they make now. An absolute beast of a machine. Saw it at Donington around 2003, only lasted a few years as the way it made its power was un-rideable if I remember.
Norton V4 RR at this year Isle of Man.
Warning... hearing any of these will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end!
Imola red E86 Z4M. Genuine CSL's, eventuri intake, supersprint race exhaust, zhp.
E86 3.0si Phoenix Yellow. 19" Veeman VFS23's - Sold
996 turbo x50 - Sold
Noble GTO3R - Sold

Most V12s and V8s.
I'd add the V10 M5 to the list - I followed one a few miles out of my way once just so I could listen to it!
Obviously the S54.

Bike wise the best I had was a KH500 with Allspeed expansion chambers - it sounded just great (although I don't think my neighbours agreed).

When they first came out I had a fun, drive what you brung,, day Prodrives facility. There was a V10 M5 there. It sounded like a ww2 fighter, balls out down the main straight of the power circuit. 8)

He couldn't drive though. At one point I was on track behind him in My Fiat Coupe and dispite the many car lengths he was taking out of me down the staight, I was able to slowly real him in over several laps. :D

The Fiat 5 pot Turbo, wasn't such a bad engine either. When it wasn"t in bits being mended

They really are fabtastic - I ended up right behind the one I followed just before a railway bridge where I usually drop the window and give my E86 some beans, but that day I dropped the window to hear that M5! I don't think it was too OEM - it looked like it was painted Yas Marina Blue after all - and it sounded amazing!

The engine I love is BMW's 4.4 Litre V8 in the M5 from 2012 (F10). It is still going strong in the new M850i, Alpina B5 and present M5. It is a superb, sweet motor.
I used to have two boys and a girl. Now I have two Men and a Woman. :?
