Mrs FB noticed on the 'face ache' Z4 page, that someone on there had just had a hard top fitted after buying it and the bloody thing blew off at speed.
There are pictures on there, showing the total mess it made of the roof. It seems like who ever fitted it, didn't lock the roof down :|
Anyone on here ??

I wonder if they'd added that 'modification' to their insurance yet?

The pictures on 'face ache' show the roof sitting against the barrier, with Police tape on it. Then a photo of it being loaded onto BMW estate roof rack.
He say's the road was quite when it happened and he didn't bother returning until the next day :o

Say's he bought it from a small garage business and they fitted it for him (obviously not ) to drive home. Says it was pretty noisy when driving and he was driving at 60 when it lifted of completely.
Think he is trying to blame the bloke at the garage, must have been a pair of plumbs, not to have noticed it wasn't locked down though.

Ive been a victim of something big coming off another vehicle (Fully loaded Roof Rack) - I ended in a ditch and upside down with the family in the car.
The plumbs need their arses kicked.

Well I think it's probably safe to say even if it was someone on here they're not likely to own up to it!

But even if you didn't fit it, surely you'd think something wasn't quite right before it came off?

Just as well the road was quiet!
