As a biker you have to look out for these type of things as you don't have the luxury of a metal box around you to protect you.
In 2016 22% of bikers killed or seriously injured were single vehicle incidents. 91% were male and 32% were aged 17 - 24. In Great Britain in 2016, 2,001 motorcyclists were killed or seriously injured per 1 billion vehicle miles, compared to 26 car drivers killed or seriously injured per 1 billion vehicle miles.

??? Not sure what you are pointing out here other than the obvious that bikes are more dangerous than cars.
A better statistic would possibly be how many incidents for bikers and car drivers instead of deaths and serious injuries.
A bike leaves the road and the rider has a high chance of being killed, a car leaves the road and the driver has a high chance of being uninjured.
