Lovely story about man tending a memorial

It’s really great he got his wish and these guys are remembered. I do wonder how many of these young men died in similar circumstances.

Just a stones throw from my house there is a memorial to a Canadian pilot called William McMullen who died at the controls of his Wellington bomber. All his crew managed to parachute out safely but he stayed with the aircraft and guided it away from people and houses.
