I don't think veterans care what an mp wore on armistice, it's not a fashion show.
I don't like any politician/party really, but at least he hasn't tried to change for opinion polls, doesn't saunter off to Africa to dance like our Mrs May :D

Agreed. He will attract the haters because of what he stands for, you may not like what he stands for but at least you know. I'm certainly not a fan, but at least he's not a career politician filtering every word and every public appearance through a PR team.

Of course he's a career politician Marlon - he's never had a real job in his life....

The end of World War 1 was commemorated and both World Wars were remembered on Sunday. From some comments on this forum all that meant nothing more than 'what a political party leader wore.' He was not disrespectful, was solemn, and acted professionally. He is an easy target, as all people are in the 'public eye.' I have not read or heard any other remarks about the man's coat anywhere other than here. Remembering should bring thoughts of 'let's do all we can to never, ever let it happen again.' Some of the angry words here, were worrying.

I don't give a stuff that he's a labour politician or what he stands for. He should have had the decency to dress for the occasion and respect what the occasion was about.

This...!!!!

Nothing to do with politics whatsoever, and as for actually turning up and standing respectful, what the hell else is expected apart from dressing appropriately..???? He’s not an untrained chimpanzee....or are we to be grateful for him being there and behaving now...?? :headbang:

I’ve just watched the Have I got news for you on BBC tonight an saw a clip of Corbyn riding his bike from home in that same shabby Anorak. He also turned LEFT against a must turn right arrow road sign.

Rules don’t apply to him it seems.

He should have worn nothing on underneath, then at least it would have made more sense as a themed ensemble.

I can only say that my late father ( a Normandy veteran & labour voter) was disgusted when Michael Foot showed up in his donkey jacket.
