In my defence, The Guardian was the first link that came up when I googled it. I think the first report I saw was the BBC.

I seem to recall from t'Internet memes that a wheelchair parking sign does not signify that the spot is for disabled people. It's just warning you that the parking space belongs to Chuck Norris and that, if you park there, he will put you in a wheelchair....
