Cars that made you stop in awe

Post by Jaw » Mon Jul 30, 2018 6:39 pm

How many have you seen on the road? I can only think of three where I was literally speechless, a Zonda when they first came out, an F50 that was blitzing through Cornwall, and today this bad boy.

Stunning and I couldn't stop staring! I know many will say too OTT etc, but I absolutely love these things, depressing thought is that I'm chasing a Gallardo worth literally a 10th the price :|

In case you wondered what $1m (aud) gets you:

Awful colour, gaudy graphics and hideous wheels. Apart from that it's ok :D

I’d definitely be staring at that. With mixed emotions. :D

The new Apollo seemed to be the jaw-dropper at Goodwood recently, although the sight of a 250 GTO trundling through the paddock created an almost religious atmosphere.

only a few big hitters that have really made me do a second glance... in the UK, I briefly followed a Bugatti Veyron along the A14 once, and then just the other day a Lexus LFA went literally right past my village, I then followed it into town.

oh and when we went to japan a few years back, amongst all the kei cars was a bright yellow lambo countach stalking the streets of akihabara, and then a gorgeous cherry red modified NSX in Kanazawa.

seen plenty of tasty motors when you expect to (driving down to le mans, being on the road the same time that a prestigious car meet is finishing) but to see something out in the wild is awesome.

I see plenty of supercars at the Ring, but only the P1LM caught my eye of those.

The cars that really do it for me are the older race cars that are still being used for track days and racing, such as BMW M1, e30 M3, original Porsche Turbos, 80s RUFs, Mercedes 190E Evos, etc.

If I ever get to see a Aston One77 on the road I will be stopped in my tracks for sure. Otherwise the appeal of modern super cars has kind of passed me by. The last time I stopped to look in on a car showroom, purley because I spotted something in the window, It was a little blue Ferrari Dino. 8)

Going on a recent drive with these was a pretty mega experience.
