Your mind never feels old. It's just that now and again you realise that your body can't keep up. So you adjust a little and get on with it. Simples.

greg81 wrote: Fri Jul 13, 2018 9:12 am I'm what some may consider a "young'un" at 36, but this is the first year where I've started to feel like I'm getting old.

I have a weak knee, I can't walk barefoot in my house as my feet hurt too much and I've had to trim my ear hair weekly for the past few months.

So tell me, when did you start to feel like you were getting old?
I think you said it, it’s 36.

I’m 36.

I was older than that when I got my Z4. It’s a mind thing ‘think old’ you’ve become ‘old’ :oldman: :P

As a teacher, you know you're old when your classes are populated by children whose parents you taught a generation ago :o
Physically .... when I needed help to extricate myself from laying up-side-down in the foot-well of a car I was trying wire the dashboard of. Now 64, still reckless  and don't know any better.

I went down that self same path just prior to 70 - but often remark about the old grey haired / bald fellas in sports cars !
Mirrors In my house are covered.

I agree with you, there are shed loads of ‘old’ young fellas.

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Couldn’t agree more!
I recently lost a pal who I’d known for 55 plus years - the fella was always saving for a rainy day and would never buy expensive cars - the grim reaper arrived before the rainy day!
I can say, it changed my outlook

Too true. I had a cardiac arrest 18 months ago. Heart stopped eight times in all. I look at things very differently now. I am just glad to be here and appreciate every new day.

Age is just a number, feeling old is a state of mind.

I turned 50 last year, but really don’t feel that old. About 3 months after that birthday I had a bit of a health scare. Turned out to be nothing major, but made me realise that getting “old” isn’t guaranteed. Shortly after that I bought my Z! :D
