It’s a bit boring I know, but I’m still on the diet I started in January & have now lost 47lb.
I’ve dropped quite a few dress sizes, which has pleased me no end :P
I think I can go a bit further with it yet & will be persevering to do so.

Holy s**t that's amazing. Good work.

Next time you're in Tesco. Stack up 47 packs of sausages. That's how much you've lost in visual terms.

Ta, I’m thinking around 14 stones would be a healthy weight compared to the 18stone 9lb I weighed in January :o

Impressive Rob, particularly as you had your foot injury, which didn't help with exercising - well done fella

Well done Rob that's very impressive. If my maths is right that's nearly three and a half stone. Just for perspective how tall are you? What did you change/do to achieve it?

Thats impressive. Whats your secret? I am currently on a no / low carb diet (no potatoes/no bread/no starchy stuff) and its been a revelation for me - never felt so good - wish I had done it ages ago.

I had to do the same after my T2 diabetes diagnosis - 18.5st down to 14.5st (through diet & excercise). Gone back up to 15st now, but that’s due to lack of exercise after long days than changing my diet.

I ignored the diabetes nurse’s advice (more carbs, less fat) and followed the Diabetes.co.uk “Low Carb Programme” instead.

Haven’t completely cut out the carbs, but I’m not having pizza and past with chips very often (pizza once a month maybe, instead of twice a week).

Biggest problem I have, is that I’m away for, home all week, so my food options are limited to what’s available in the staff restaurants, where the carbs are cheap, and the vegetables/protein is expensive (e.g. lasagne & chips @ £4, vs tuna & 2 lettuce leaves @ £6). If you want a proper-sized salad to go with the tune, then you’re looking at another £3-£4.

Don’t have any kitchen facilities in the B&B, so can’t cook/prepare my own. But weekends are mush easier as I can have all the tomato/avocado/spinach salad I want (not a fan of rocket or lollo bianco/rosso lettuce we get in the office).

Thanks, I’m 5”11’ tall but have a stocky build (bear like)
I’ve cut out a fair bit of beer (gallons) and stopped filling myself up with takeaways & cheese (tons)
Not eaten any crisps or chocolate since January which has taken a considerable amount of will power.
Ann does lots more cooking instead of buying ready meals.
I’ve got used to it and it’s nice to be in 34’ jeans instead of 42’!
Go for plenty of long walks/rambles which has been a hobby of ours for a while now, that’s about it as far as exercise goes, I’m planning on a lot more cycling once we’ve moved to quieter roads
