Going to Silverstone next Sunday. Info says car parks open at 5 am. Realisticly, what time do I need to get there, 5 seems like the middle of the night and nothing else opens until 8. I have a booked grandstand seat. Any other tips most welcome!

I’ve done Silverstone quite a few times, although only once driven down on the Sunday. You don’t need to be there at 5am if you have got grandstand seats, that’s only necessary if you have general admission and want a really good spot. Obviously don’t leave it too late to avoid the traffic, but if you get there too early you will just end up spending a fortune on merchandise and burgers!

Silverstone is a great race to go to though, if it’s your first time you should be in for a treat, out of all the ones I’ve been to it’s certainly one of my favourites.
