Coming to the end of a week in the Lakes with Mediterranean temperatures :) Only downside is I'm driving a hire car :( But looking at the week ahead there will be plenty of top down motoring :driving: :)

It's times like this that I wish I'd researched a targa-top option further.

If I had a roadster, I'd still drive it with the roof up - all the time - so seems pointless to have an easily-damaged roof on display when my car is parked on the drive/road in Liverpool.

I'll just buy some rubber underpants and put some ice-water in there!

Just checking - that you realise you're on the Z4 forum here, not some "alternative" forum for (ahem) "special requirements"? :D

Been lovely down south for a good while now. Ideally I'd like some rain as my greenery is taking a battering

My outside weather station recorded 34.3 C on Monday afternoon although most likely as it was in full sun even so its recorded high 20s each day, currently 31ish. I don't particularly miss a soft top in this weather although it used to be nice in the evenings when cooler. It has made me chuckle seeing people this week sitting in traffic, roof down, blazing sun, sweat pouring off, trying to look cool but their sun baked look and reality somewhat different, no thanks, for me, windows up, air con on and staying cool.

Been off the scale for 8-10 weeks now , ive just finished a 8 week stint working on a caravan club site alongside Coniston & i watched the water level drop weekly & only saw rain twice the whole time .
Now in Wigan on a roof for the past 2 weeks & its tipped 27-29deg every day since i started  starting to feel like a roasted chicken :P supposedly to last into August as well so 2018 definitely one the 85ers & 89ers can relish 8)

We were due to go up in a Virgin hot air ballon this evening from Whitchurch .I thought today would be a certain day for flying ,suns out faintest of a breeze,Phoned the flight line after lunch as per instructions only to be told it's off due to winds of 15 knots this evening :headbang: .This is not the first time it's being cancelled.
I am beginning to think their is more chance of winning the big prize in the Euro lottery than getting airborne.

It's too hot for my tastes. :o Did take the Zed to work a couple of days, but not enjoying this heat now and back in the daily shed, with the air con on. Off out canoing on the Tamar in a bit. Lifes a bitch. 8)
