I.O.M TT 2018

Post by Mr Tidy » Sat Jun 02, 2018 8:57 pm

I'm sure any bikers will know already, but today's Superbike race will be on ITV4 in a few minutes.

I've been watching the build up on TV all week and am looking forward to the races in the coming week.

Just hope they're all safe.

Great racing. Still takes my breath away watching though's guys. Well done on number 16 Micheal D  A fitting tribute to Dan Kene. Shame we didn't get the final two laps from D H. Will never know if Dunlop would have caught him on the harder tyre. :D

Amazing place and racing! Not there for the TT but will be bikepacking on the Fatbikes for the classic again...

Gutted for DH would have been an impressive win but a fitting tribute to Dan Kneen with a Tyco win.

Every year I think I will be there next year would get some amazing shots but the its not cheap serious money to pop your car on the ferry

I've been a couple of times, biting the bullet in 2016 and taking my friend's car over. £500 odd for the ferry! Such an amazing place and mind blowing event though. Worth every penny for the memories, goosebumps and laughs. I'd thoroughly recommend it! Even after watching it on TV for many years and having my own bikes since I was 11, I still wasn't prepared for the effect of two bikes skimming past my nose at 180 mph along Glen Vine! :o Absolute warriors!

Few less warriers than three days ago. The whole TT scene does carry on regardless incredibly well, but even an old die hard ex serviceman like me feels that something needs to change wrt, to this aspect. I don't have the answer though. I recall the first few G FoS, F1 cars driving past pretty much flat out, 6 ft away. Not like that any more, the crowd is kept well back from the track and the whole experience is now lost for me. :(

Don't think I can remember anyone winning a race after overshooting a corner right at the start, having to paddle backwards for a three point turn and then fight their way back! Well deserved.

Yes, that is impressive from PH - but what went wrong for DH?

He set a really fast early pace, and I'd love to see him get another win.

I watch them both in BSB, as well as JB and others - but in BSB I'm really a Shakey fan (probably because I lived in Sittingbourne for a couple of years)!
