Solar panels
Looking to have solar panels on my home and wondered if there are any experts on the forum who may be able to give advice on which manufacture of panels to get or avoid

I’m not so clued up on PV as I fit thermal every now and then.
I have only heard good things about LG though, and I know their warranty is at least 15 years long depending on what panels you go for and if your installer is accredited.

I have had 5 quotes from accredited firms and each 1 have a different panel, it is difficult to decide which to go with, although some offer much longer insurance backed warranties

In reality I doubt there’s much to choose between them! No reasons, just a hunch.
The fella that installed mine suggested the units against the performance he had forecasted and they have indeed bettered that performance !

I’ve had a cracking return from mine, I’m on the 22p tariff and getting £850 a year in cash ,
4kw Array and directly south !
Have a look here. I used the site and the returns they projected were quite accurate if not a little pessimistic!

Domestic arrays in the uk are limited to 4kw to quality for the feed in tariffs I believe - however in general, houses would only have enough space for 16 panels.

Bummer, I want to add a couple more pointing more west on a different hip.
Wifey says
"No, you're done"
With 330 watt ones you'd only need 12
My last bill

I used this site and their energy predictions for my16 panel/ 4Kw array have been very accurate.
