Saw this today and although I don't watch the WEC, seeing what these cars can do when the rule book is thrown out is amazing. I read somewhere else that the average speed across the lap was 155mph

Progress.
Imagine your ringing the neck out of your new fiesta ST. A 200 bhp mini road rocket. Then the guy who set off along side comes out of the bus stop and laps you before you've finished your first lap?

Clever idea by Porsche. I follow WEC, IMSA and Blancpain more and more these days. A lot more interesting racing (once you get to know the teams) and better sounding than F1, and the latter two have free HD streams with decent commentary!
Blancpain sprint races are one hour, they can race flat out for the whole race, bumper to bumper, and many of the drivers are world class. It’s basically BTCC with Lambos

720 bhp out of a 2.0 V4, impressive.
