Congrats Rob - must admit I've been tempted to go the same route many times. Enjoy the free time, but keep off the daytime TV :D

Congratulations Rob!

If my experience is anything to go by you'll soon wonder how you found time to fit work in! :)

You can start enjoying it by having a lie-in on Monday - and any other day if you feel like it!

Enjoy.

Best of luck to you, hope you soon get into retirement mode, as 'markalp' wrote 'I give you 3, or 4 weeks before your start taking stuff apart because your bored lol'

It took me nearly two years to get over not working! a bit younger than you though when I retired and I made the mistake of doing a couple of contracts for them after retirement. Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind sentiments guys, Mrs smartbear retired a couple of years ago & i took the offer of voluntary severance to join her.
I realise I'm a pretty lucky bear and took the opportunity without any delay 👍

Enjoy Rob..

Can't see myself ever retiring TBH. Spending MORE time with the wife and kids is enough to make me want to work!!
