Is it me being a miserable old git as each year BBC promote this,we have very rich personalities begging joe public for money. My view is these people are in a lot of cases paid thousands of pounds a week, stop begging off the public by making them feel somehow guilty and donate out of your own pockets, because you can well afford it.

What's even worse is when they use Lewis Hamilton or Jensen Button.....neither pay any tax in this country and make a plea to the public for help....genuinely f*cks me off.

I stopped watching TV years ago and last Sept cancelled my licence as I realised the only thing I watched on terrestrial channels was Wimbledon.

How many threatening letters have you received so far? They don’t believe that you are not watching tv.

I was expecting to be hounded like you say, but actually it was very simple. I just completed an online form and that was the end of it. I was paying annually rather than by DD so perhaps that made it easier, not sure.
