Get rid of both and go for somethng like the M240i or M140i if need a bit more boot space, more useable and comfortable than a full fat ///M and just as nippy in the real world. The Merc whilst a nice car in itself is just an estate car end of the day.

You can’t blame Brexit, our roads have been appalling for years!pvr wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 9:00 pm Sounds like you have made up your mind though, so I would keep the Merc for a while (or until bored stiff).
Strange though as I seem to remember you were quite negative about the Merc and did not really care for it when you got it, what changed?
Also depends what type of social activities you do, if you like driving in Europe where the roads don't have craters, then the Merc would be rather boring. If you only need an A--> B car, then I would say the Merc is a better bet especially as it will probably take many years (if ever) before the UK roads become usable again.
Ireland used to be like that with terrible roads, but they used European funding to get some decent roads made but with Brexit that is unlikely to happen to Britain ...

Chop ‘em both in, sell a kidney/child and get a C63 S Estate. Absolute beast.

Hi Maniac,
You used to have a pic of the Merc in your sig and I am embarrassed to say that I wanted one ever since. Had mine 2 years now and although I love the look if the car, the drive isn't everything I hoped for.
Still pretty decent for an every day car and on the motorway, she is a joy. Recent fall out with Merc over brake discs have led me to not want another.
I would go BMW 4 series next if I wasn't opting out and taking the missus Santa Fe. Ditching the company car will save £9k a year....

All done. BCA guys have been and gone. A last look.
If I can sort this issue with the Z then I’ll keep it. If not then the market awaits....
In the end the paid for car ( albeit needing further attention ) and saving 7/8 grand, won out.If I can sort this issue with the Z then I’ll keep it. If not then the market awaits....
