RIP Stephen Hawking

One of the greatest physicists/cosmologists, who was also able to fight ALS for a large part of his life.

Saw the news this morning. Sad, but he was told he would not make 26, so I suspect he was very happy with his lot.

When they carry the coffin out and we cannot see him, will he be alive or dead though?

Great shame great guy who overcame many obstacles in his life to achieve great things.

Really truly inspirational. And worth a many Kardashians.

Been a lot of talk hear today at work about him. I work for the other British university in the physics department. Many of my colleges knew him worked with him. I have seen him once but he was with all the big wigs so couldn’t go chat.
My little blue zed is in lots of bits. With lots of things started and not many finished! I may have found the limits of my time and ability!!

Nice guy, and talk about defeating the odds...

Didn't realise he was actually that old!

He was also a very amusing man with a wicked sense of humour.

Just a amazing life story that is beyond comprehension at times , much of his work i can barely grasp but his thoughts on afterlife mirror my own :P " there is no life after death & any notion of a afterlife is a fairy story "

As for passing on pie day :P Taz that should be your first written warning :poke: :D

One of very few people I could listen to all day long. The world lost a great thinker today. RIP

Your comments on the afterlife or the lack thereof mirror my own, I have read "the theory of everything" and "a brief history of time"
