But it drove really well & had a surprising turn of speed, it’s 800kg weight gave it good agility as well :driving:

Rob a bloke down the road has one of these a Brabus version in Silver I think it looks great and a lot of fun to drive.

Looks just like my mums first car i think the colour was Autumn Gold it was a nightmare for starting once it got a bit longer in the tooth we used to get 6 kids and 2 adults in it :D no health and safety back then

I had a love/hate relationship with this and it didn’t suit everyone’s taste

My first car was a Citroën c2, the same as this but steel wheels, I like them but on the scale of collectible hot hatches it's definitely near the bottom

Picked up this Clubman JCW in January as a new daily, longer wheel base, 4WD, 230hp and actually has room for humans. Its a great laugh and drive really god fun. Proper marmite but I love it! 30mpg is a bit tough to swallow tho.

Aged 20 (1996) I bought an old Alfa 75 Twin Spark which I thought it was the mutts nuts, I even fell for the old 'it's gear box is at the rear so the car has almost perfect balance' sales pitch!
Looking back it was the worse car I have ever owned as it broke down every other week and I only manage to keep it for 9 months before I had to abandon it as a waste of money. But for some reason, I still had fond memories of it and its quirky style and the fact its rear end kicked out at the merest hint of rain or ice.

Now I just think it was a piece of s@#t!!! (Web image)

Not owned but had it for a week when my car was being repaired. A Kia Piccanto automatic in Metallic Pink. The guy who delivered it just handed me the keys and ran away laughing!

Nothing marmite about that car mate - totally cool ( even with brown wings ) :D

My first car at 17 had a four cylinder 600cc motor but lacked a wheel but had four seats and a boot :) but as a poor apprentice it was better than getting the bus and my mates would swallow their pride for a lift home from the training centre and ride outs on a night and weekends ..... well it was warm and dry , ok I am going to come out and admit it was a Reliant Regal saloon but I refuse to post a picture of it as that's a step tooo far :D :driving:

When I was 22 I had a '94 Ford Probe GT (the one with the Mazda 2.5 V6) in turquoise, every Rover Honda and Ford at the time seemed to be painted in that colour!
I bought it for 700 quid off my boss at the time after someone wrote off my '87 Celica GTR. It was terribly built, with horrible interior plastics and generally crap apart from the Mazda V6 which never let me down. Plenty quick car for a 22 year old, and was the envy of my mates who were driving 1 litre Polo's and Fiestas. It had back seats, if you had no legs...
The handbrake failed on a hill once when it was parked up and I found it half a mile away imbedded in a fence
Currently zedless :(

Snap!
About 15mpg out of mine IIRC, but at the time, petrol was about 80p a litre!

TR7 convertible was the one to go for, certainly not quite marmite IMHO (internet picture shown)
Mine was darker and didn't look anywhere near as classy as this one which ashamed to say I quite like  .

Had a limited edition Mazda 323 with that engine one of the last 500 made, which was fabulous. Kept it for 2 years and only sold it when I was offered more than I paid for it
