Chris Harris is the best but he's suffered from being scripted. His work freelance was the best and he was my favourite journo.

Any of them are better than that Chris Evans fella - I’ve never been more tempted to throw a brick at the TV when he was on !

Yes, that's exactly my conclusion too. Maybe it's the chemistry between the presenters or perhaps it's the script?

Well what can I say........same old Top Gear recipee , just a new bunch of clowns........but not funny at all , Matt Le Blanc is wooden , Chris Harris is more suited to in depth road tests and that Rory is the BBC's token stab at political correctness, sorry , maybe I'm getting old and (more) cynical .......oh and miserable :D

My thoughts exactly, I think Chris Harris is being told to act like that as from what I've seen he isn't like that on his youtube stuff.

I didn’t enjoy it last night, far too scripted and wooden, trying to be lads but with false unrealitstic banter, not for me

Ive only ever seen the guy on TG & last year within first few episodes he was swiftly downgraded from possible main man to sidekick , last night he was like the annoying kid at the school party who ate all the smarties & guzzled the IrnBru :D just plain annoying & bad script or not for me added nothing of value to the show .
I'l persevere as there is so little car stuff on mainstream tv but maybe record the next episode so i can fastforward

MLB is just about OK but the other 2, one can drive but that's it and the other? It's the same old TG but without the very funny idiots. It's not interesting/ informative or funny.

Have a look at this stuff instead: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... is+on+cars

Loads of good ones including the holy trinity shootout, F40 vs F50 ruining tyres, C63 vs RS4 etc...

It’s a tricky one. I thought the best bits of the last series were just Chris H in the car on his own - he’s far more relaxed when left to do his own thing, and dare I say has a better presentation style (when combined with driving) than a lot of TV presenters. Problem is that’s going to bore the hell out of your average household, what with his talk of rose joints and “inherent chassis balance”. I hope they find the winning formula eventually - as others have said, all the ingredients are there.

Must admit though, the Le Blanc “sheets of A4” quip made me lol. :D

The best thing that happened was Chris Evans went!

I've always liked Chris Harris' stuff on youtube, but he doesn't seem to be allowed to present in his own style on TG - although that may be because much of the TG audience wouldn't appreciate it! :( But some of the films he made about cars he actually owned were fantastic.

I like Matt - he seems the most comfortable on camera, but given his acting background I suppose that's not surprising!

Rory moans he never gets to drive the best cars, but that seems to be his role - the keen participant who has limited knowledge. :)

Sabine is great at the Ring, but anywhere else Chris seems to be at least as quick and you can't focus too many episodes on the Ring for a general entertainment audience!

I'll give it some more time, but seeing as it is about cars I'll probably keep watching!
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

All trying too hard. And a bit deja vu. . .
Dreadful misuse of Chris Harris as clown - best car presenter on YouTube by a mile.
Where they did try something different then it didn't quite work - but prepared to give it time.
The Grand Tour is beginning to be the new Last of the Summer Wine - without the massive shooting budget and cutting edge recording techniques it might even be embarrassing. Still watch it for the bits of magic.
Now Porsche flat 6 experience, 986S & 981S.
2006 Z4MR Imola Red/Imola Red, 2008 3.0si Sport Stratus Grey/Piano black, 2006 2.0I Sport Silver Grey Facelift. MX5, TVR Chimaera, many motorbikes.
