I think that's the year they changed the age limit for buying fire works. I was 14 and it was legal to buy them. 1975 I was 15 and too young to buy them. Well legally any way. Oh the joys of being a teenager in Liverpool back in the 70's

My first driving licence was a military qualification "Driver, Wheeled, classes 1 to 5" after a training course in Montreal in 1959. Next was an Ontario licence test in my 1950 Ford Meteor coach. When I returned from Germany where I had held an international licence for three years, I was obliged to take the test again because of my three year absence. The tester enjoyed his ride in my 1963 Morgan 4/4 as I performed the obligatory drive around the block to earn my new Ontario licence.

February1966 in an Austin A40 Countryman 9 lessons and 1 pre test lesson.
Lessons were expensive in those days, £1 - 2/6d (£1-12.5p)
I had to use Indicators and Hand Signals.
My instructor was a part time actor / comedian and his routine was the same as Dave Allen - jokes the entire one hour lesson.
Same as this car

Ok, best get this out of the way quick:
Started to learn in the family Lada Riva
Mum then won a Fiat Panda in a competition - so thankfully we ended Lada ownership of 6 years
Finally did my test with BSM in a mini Metro around 1987
All cars interestingly red (not the actual cars shown)!
