I remember the "quartic" wheel well... Indeed, had a long argument with someone on another forum a few years ago, who reckoned I was talking bollocks about them..

Personally, I passed my test in an, at the time - Brand new Nissan Micra :D

My instructor had recently left a bog driving school that I was originally with, so I went with him - Rescued me from the Austin Metro..

Mind you, he spent most of my lessons listening to my Pioneer cassette Walkman, only commenting when he heard wheelspin as I was taking off from junctions

Same instructor had me service that car for the following 3 years, as I worked at the Nissan dealership.

Mark 1 Cavalier, my Dad's car, he taught me to drive. Then he sold it to me as an early 21st birthday present I had it another few years till I got married then traded it for a Mk 1 Fiesta.
I remember it fondly, it had fantastic brakes for the time and the ride/handling was pretty good, but my wife hated the long bonnet so it had to go.

Passed my test in my Dads Audi 80. Knew i was onto a winner when the other examiners, rather large gentlemen were prizing themselves into BSM Mini's when my examiner pointed out to his colleagues he was in the new Audi.

Passed first time in a British School of Motoring Morris Minor in 1963. My dad didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He had just bought his first new car, a red MG 1100 and he knew I would want to borrow it! Within a month he helped me find an old 1956 Morris Minor which he made roadworthy for me. I wonder why?

Passed in 1977 in a new Mini, I was an apprentice mechanic for Kennings a large British Layand dealer who also had a driving school, so I had free lessons.
Being 6'4" I did find the mini a little cramped :D

I bought a MK1 Cavalier from my brother, it was the same colour and year as yours :)

Mk1 Nissan Micra. I had been driving for 10 years at that point. Though away at sea most of the time. My wife had a licence, but I used to drive us every where. I had 1 lesson, the hour before my test and passed first time. :D
