Interesting, but looks unbalanced in my opinion. Most of the estate conversions did I think.

Personally I think it looks pretty ghastly, but it does have a bench seat in the back for the ladies!!

The shape does not seem to flow right beyond the C pillars.

Ah, my dad used to have a P1800 in that colour. Lovely car. I loved the amount of leavers and dials it had. Also got to love a car with overdrive. When you're young you think that is some sort of super boost!
Sadly it was sold many years ago. Wonder where she is now

Wow - you'd really have to want it to pay that for it!
And behind the rear doors it just doesn't look right.
I think I'd just look for an E39 530i Touring and blow the rest on something more exciting!

Found that estate the other week. It’s just up the road from me.
Not my cup of tea though.

But if you like Touring BMWs and/or E3s and you've already got the rest in your collection (I haven't!) then having one of these would be significant. The catch, though, (as I understand it) is that this isn't one that came out of a BMW factory like the rally team support vehicles so is a bit of a half-way-house for collectors.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes to sell...
