Parrot Disco Drone

Post by dans6490 » Fri Dec 29, 2017 8:20 pm

I was recently 40 and my wife wanted to buy me something and I wasn't allowed tyres! Having always wanted a remote controlled aeroplane, I thought a drone might be nice as I couldn't think of anything else.

The parrot disco is more aeroplane than drone imo but so far I'm impressed.

It's really easy to launch/land and can reach approx 50 mph. It has a 2km range / 45 mins battery life and if you lose contact, it returns back to where it was launched. Lots of cool features such as choosing a spot on the map within the app and it will fly there and back automatically

It's great fun and below is a short video of its maiden voyage. Although it was quite windy, the camera footage is pretty good

Edit: Quality isn't as good on YouTube for some reason but you get the idea

Nice area you live.
If you try and take a cat apart the first thing you have is a non working cat.
