Depression is a bugger and the slightest thing can set you on a downward slope and no matter what you can’t stop it!, it’s amazing how many replies here indicate towards having some degree of it at some point, just goes to show we are not alone with it even though it feels like it and as much as any forum can annoy for the most part it can bring some enjoyment to things and if you do log in to see all the replies I hope it gives you some solace that we all wish you well and hope you return very soon, all the best John

Thanks for the brave post to share what you're going through. Whilst we haven't met, you always seemed a reasonable chap to me.

I've been there myself, and at the time I didn't recognise it. So my wish for you is that you get the support you need and are able to make the changes in your life that bring you out the other side.

The only thing I'm definitely sure of is, you are never alone and from the looks of the previous posts there are plenty of folks who are happy to chat.

Well said John and hope your post has helped with the 'bitter taste' . . . reassuring to read such a post on a forum like this and equally reassuring to read understanding and supportive posts.
