Im the dude that parks in the far back and talks a longer walk regardless of the weather away from all other drivers. Trust me that extra 2 min walk is better than coming back to dings and scratches all over your vehicle

Even then, how many times do you return to your car and some twot has parked right beside you

Many, However for the short time that I'm in a store or wherever I'm going, I slightly at ease until I return. At the end of the day I know that Ive done my bit to maintain and take care of my vehicle :D

My philosophy too.
If you consider that it's not only the dent-happy gonzoids who park next to you, but also the hords of handbag swinging, key swirling, shopping bag lugging, zipped raincoat wearing, dead body in a roll of carpet dragging nobtwonks that scithe through the car park, sliming past your p&j depositing all manner of non-desirable depositions, dents and detritus that parking in the furthermost spot, or even as I prefer, a country mile of my destination makes absolute sense, if not convenience.
