I think it’s just another step towards a little bit of normality.

Good stuff, that should almost replenish your resistance back up to the circa 70-80% range

Interesting that they have stopped Astra for the <30s

Yet stated this morning that the clot risk is the same as a long haul flight.................
I wonder if they would still have stopped it if the Moderna wasn't arriving just in time to fill the gap?

The risk does seem to be minuscule but I also think there is some fudging of figures going on, all the %s seem based on the entire total # of recipients (regardless of age so includes everyone together) rather that specifically the young, its possible that the risk for <30s is actually higher and that risk % is therefore higher. That's entirely speculation on my part, but I am suspicious of nebulous numbers converted into %s without a clear definition of where they came from and what the content of the figures are.

for example 79 cases out of 20,000,000 jabs but were 50 of those cases from under 40s of which there were only 10,000 jabs?

It does appear that younger women are most at risk with 2/3 of the cases being in that demographic

Looking through all the figures today and was trying my best to find out what the definition of a "pre-existing medial condition" is when it comes to Covid.

Thought I would share.

Google was not really any help but duckduckgo turned out a few results.

BBC:
-chronic (long-term) respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema or bronchitis
-chronic heart disease, such as heart failure
-chronic kidney disease
-chronic liver disease, such as hepatitis
-chronic neurological conditions, such as Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), a learning disability or cerebral palsy
-diabetes
-problems with your spleen - for example, sickle cell disease or if you have had your spleen removed
a weakened immune system as the result of conditions such as HIV and AIDS, or medicines such as steroid tablets or chemotherapy
-being seriously overweight (a BMI of 40 or above)
-those who are pregnant

And the ONS:

We define a pre-existing condition as the last health condition mentioned on the first part of the death certificate when it came before the coronavirus (COVID-19), or was an independent contributory factor in the death, mentioned in part II. Where only COVID-19 was recorded on the death certificate, or COVID-19 and subsequent conditions caused by COVID-19 were recorded, we refer to these deaths as having "No pre-existing conditions".

Do you have proper notes up there then?

I was given one of your notes a couple of years ago as change from a bar. I asked for a real one back

They are about as useful down here as a £50 note. No body wants to take them.

Ive never understood why Scottish notes are not accepted by a lot of places in england, they are after all Sterling just the same as english notes.

The last Scottish £20 note I had would only be exchanged for a £10 English note, so had to hand it in a bank in the end as no-one accepted it. Never again
