I'm sure you've probably all seen and heard enough about this event, but I wanted to post something personal.
I work less than a mile away from the mosque where the majority of people were gunned down, and I'm still trying to come to terms with what has happened to my city.
My youngest son attended a vigil held yesterday in Hagley Park, which is where many fled during the horrific events of last Friday.
A photo of him and a couple of his school friends laying a flag at the vigil has appeared in the Daily Mail UK so I thought I would post it here. My son is on the right wearing glasses. I am torn that he has had to be part of this, but proud that he has shown empathy and compassion when it is needed most.
Kia Kaha. My heart aches for so much loss.
Take time to tell your family you love them, tomorrow is a gift not always given.

Christchurch Terrorist Attack
You know it's bad when these attacks don't even shock people anymore. It has become 'just another day' to most people now.
RIP to all who lost their lives, but no amount of thoughts, prayers, flowers, flags and Facebook posts are going to stop this needless violence from happening over and over again...

Unfortunately the world has gone soft and punishments simply don't fit the crimes, that is an added tragedy.

Hearfelt post Enzed. Our son is in NZ at the moment and tells us the whole country is dazed by such a pointless murderous act.

Christchurch Terrorist Attack
+1
It is a seriously messed up world at times
I recently watch, 'November 13, attack on Paris.' It's on Netflix and is a 3 parter telling the story of that night in Paris from those there and the emergency services. I originally watched it as people I worked with were there that night, some on the U2 gig at the Bercy and a couple at the Bataclan on the Eagles of Death Metal gig.
It's a very powerful watch.
