E89 show me your 19" wheels and NRF tyres combo

Post by JimsZ » Thu Apr 27, 2017 6:25 pm

trying to visualise this on a white E89 z4 with black or dark rims rather than silver.

Can any one offer some suggestions, advice and options to help me along the way. Also which wheel suppliers to try. I'm based near Heathrow airport so any shops where I can go to anyone is aware of looking for recommendations.

Same rolling radius as the existing 19 rims I have now, but with a non runflat tyre.

Help and advice please

Are they 19's what tyre size have you matched with them. Ride comfort better? I have tyre pressure monitoring how does this get retained if I changed the wheels?

So many questions ...

Look good btw

Hi, standard 225/255 sizes in 19" diameters, ride quality is better as the sidewalls are more supple.
My car is a Sep 2013 model & doesn't have the tpms inside the wheels, it uses the abs rings to ascertain if a tyre is deflating.
I think 2014 models onward used the sensors in the wheels

Thanks Smartbear.

So what profile do people run on an 18inch rim.

Non runflat or runflat

Current size on my 19" rims is 225/35/19 front and 235/30/19 rear Bridgestone Potenza's

Seen a few options, not sure what to do now... Buy a new set of rims and go all in budget wise with new tyres too or refurb what I have and keep persevering (as I do like the 19" rims I have now) ...the Bridgestones I have on these are really good, loads of life just the rides to harsh at times on the roads round here!
