Wheels options, advice needed

Post by MartynFrancis » Tue Nov 08, 2016 7:52 pm

So, I've got most things sorted on my new zed, but still a few to sort. One of which are my wheels and I am so undecided.
Here she is recently.

Now they are in dire need on something doing to them. Either that be a refurb or new wheels. If they're refurbed I don't know if to stick with the silver or go a different colour. Be it black (gloss or matte) gunmetal grey or what? If anyone has any pics of examples of different colours id be very grateful.
Alternaltively go new alloys all together. I'm thinking of sticking with 18" if I do change this time though.
Help! I'm open to options.

Gotta say I've not been a lover of the elipsoids. I thought I had it done when I had my sterling grey zed on 313's but that's now gone to the zed in the Sky. I have the worst imagination to visualise wheels on a car let alone colours! I do like the alloys that are on it, but I don't know if a different colour if they're refurbed will make them look great or poo!

Nice set of corrosion free 108s?
Or a different 5 spoke similar to the vossen vps303?
I think mv2s are way to common to go on a Zed, with every e46 sporting them already

I had 107’s which came with the Zed originally and always fancied 108’s ... then learned about 108 issues then went back to wanting 107’s!!

The 108’s look more aesthetic than the 107’s IMO but 107’s will always be more practical.

As said I feel the MV wheels are suited to the e46

I had MV2s on my sapphire black z4 coupe. I swapped the old ones for refurbed ones in Shadow Chrome from First Aid wheels in North London. Probably not local to you but the colour really suits metallic colour cars

Yip! I know they look dark & I even took it back to the company to voice my concerns about the colour but they said "thast their version of shadow chrome"

Wasn't happy but met a friend of a friend with a blue Z4 who had his done in shadow chrome at the same place as mine and the colours matched.
