Best place to buy tyres

Post by cjp2k » Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:22 am

Looking at changing my wheels, will need some new 19" rubber.

Where is the best (Cheapest) place to buy, not sure if sticking with the RE050 RFT or going non RTF Conti Sport 5

Prices and stock availability seem to vary

Any ideas would be greatfully recieved

Try ringing round a couple of non franchise tyre centres near you. You could be pleasantly surprised.
I tried Camskill, My Tyres, Black Circles etc when looking for 19" Vreds at the start of the year, Camskill where the cheapest but by the time you had added postage, fitting and disposal of your old tyres the Indy round the corner was about £2.00 a tyre more expensive, so I went there just to save some hassle, I paid about £700 for 2 x 235/35/19 & 2 x 265/30/19.

Guess it all depends on where you live, people like event tyres don't operate near me.
