Early 3.0i auto differences

Post by Mrsbrown » Fri Mar 09, 2012 8:25 pm

Hi all
My 2003 3.0 auto has 16 inch 104's on it...I'm assuming as these were on the car originally as 17's only came as standard latter on?
They have Bridgestone rfts all round which I've not been that impressed with and as the backs are on the way out time for a complete change.

My question is can I simply swap over to a a suitable BMW part such as the 108's or is there any difference in the offset of the early cars and later ones that I need to be aware of?

My other question is the rfts have an electrical indicator in the car in case of a flat...do you have to do something to disable this ? If so how?

Many thanks

The flat tyre indicator can be reset by holding the button whilst starting the car

The system on your Zed uses the ABS sensor to count wheel rotations so no wheel/tyre sensors per se.

Just drive it and it will sort itself out or as Adamski says reset it after changing wheels or tyres.

If it reassures you I run a 2003 auto on 108's and without runflat tyres
