Guiseley & I unintentionally did a two zed test when caught out in the snow a couple of weeks ago. He made a corner with winters on, I didn't without and its only thanks to the quick reaction of driver coming other way that I didn't have a head on collision. Spent a stressful 15 mins trying to get my zed off the moors. In hindsight proved just how good these tyres are.

Are you sure the poor wee mite didn't get cold hands start crying and want to go home just as you were beginning to really enjoy a bit of sledging?
:)
We spent about an hour and a half sledging, well Lucy sledging and me dragging said sled back up the hill :D

Aaaaargh!! :headbang:
This just makes me want a set of winters even more!
But we're already into February so it's not really worth it for this year.
By the time I find a decent set with rims at a good price it'll be bl**dy spring anyway.

Durn it, durn it durn it ...

Thats a proper picture and really shows what winter tyres can actually do ... Nice looking motor btw ....

I bought mine from 205/55-16 91H JINYU YW51 WINTER TYRE 2055516 205 55 16 SNOW TYRES X 4 in November and found the service great! I bought a set of alloys specifically for these so dead easy to change when I think the time is right, all in all £240!

They have put the prices up now (demand must have increased)

Get yourself a set in summer!

One caveat though. They won't make you invincible. See that all the time with inexperienced drivers in 4x4's. They usually just get stuck further from help or had nasty shunts figuring it was ok to drive the 'motorway' at full speed cause they have four wheel drive.

Got them on 1 of ours - the Roadster S (easier to source for than the D3BT, and easier to drive in snow). Had no snow here at all, but on the frosty roads last week -- superb. Tried them in heavy rain, too...much less aquaplaning. Would I again? Definitely :!:

Couldn't agree more! I moved over to let a 4X4 past that was up my arse. Because they can get going they must 'assume' they can stop! Theirs no quick fix for idiots!
