Beedub wrote:the ga3r.......... perfection, and considerably lighter than the CSL rims... all round this will net a nice unsprung weight saving.....

will be ordering the 18" option with a front in 8.5 +32offset, up in the rear ill be going 9.5 +25.... relatively restrained offsets compared to the stance kings (but still agressive in terms of z4m fitment), but i need the headroom for the proper trackuse/sprint use my car see's, i will not put a rim on my car thats rubs ANYWHERE, simple as that. Not only am i excited about these rims but they are the only wheels ive come across that are still warrantied when used on the track, that says alot imo......

ill be ordering the matt centres with the gloss black outer shell that you see in the pics below................
Very excited, hoping to get my order in early december when i get a nice cash injection coming in from work :-)

These wheels are properly light, very very strong and will allow fitment of my BBK, i love the fact that i can make them any offset i like so perfect fitment, im not going for ultimate flush archline look, in terms of offset im going for a setup that i can tune to look good BUT firstly get no rub on the very hard work my car see's during the track months, its taken me a LONG time to find the right wheel, these are perfect for me...... simply perfect........

the only thing i cant seem to work out is the centre bore size?? im hoping they will machine them to bmw spec so they are "hubcentric centering"

mmmmm i can just see my blown z4m sitting on these, BBK poking out behind these forge ga3r's lowered (a very restrained) 10mm on kw clubsports...... yessss perfection. Watch this space.... not looking forward to import charges.....

My genuine CSL's (refinished in gunmetal with PSS rubber will be for sale)
the moment these things are on my car :-)

heres the spec taken from the forgeline website

After over 20 years of involvement with teams of virtually every sports car racing organization in the world, we have learned what it takes to produce a racing wheel that can withstand the fierce conditions of the sport. This knowledge has been applied to our latest and greatest - the best wheel that we have ever made - the GA3R.

Our new "I-Beamed Spoke" technology reduces weight and applies additional strength and rigidity within the spokes of the wheel. The hidden titanium assembly hardware delivers a smooth clean look and makes wheel cleaning faster and easier. The design of the GA3R's center allows plenty of room for caliper clearance and extreme brake fitment. And we have employed a new proprietary fast-drying super-strength sealer that is highly resistant to leaks and allows for quick and easy repairs.

The GA3R is truly designed for racing. It is engineered with a 2100 lb. street-tire load rating to ensure strength and integrity, even when subjected to the massive loads encountered on the stickiest race tires. And it is the only wheel that is actually warranted for use in racing applications!

The GA3R is produced using our traditional forging method utilizing 6061-T6 aluminum with heat-treated rim-shells. And just like any Forgeline wheel, the GA3R is fully customizable in fitment and finish, including center lock applications.

Now available in 17-inch, 18-inch, 19-inch, and 20-inch sizes in virtually any width and offset.

•Extremely lightweight and significantly stronger than any other wheel that we have ever produced

•3-Piece Performance Wheel

•Stepped-Lip Design

•I-Beamed Spoke Technology

•Lightweight Titanium Fasteners

•Hidden Fasteners

•Generous Brake Clearance

•Forged 6061-T6 Aluminum

•Heat-Treated Rim Shells

I hope you're kidding, or you have no idea what you're talking about. Most people who own Volks run them AT the track, for serious use (because of their extremely light weight, strength etc). Certainly NOT show-queens OR 'far from ideal on a real enjoyed car'. Their offsets are fine if you care to look for them, and not make blanket statements. Unless of course you feel that 18x8.5 ET35 (front) & 18x9.5 ET22 (Rear) aren't OPTIMUM for our rides? (link -->http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread. ... light=volk

Silly geometry settings? LOL. Wrong. Our cars love negative camber. It dials out all the factory understeer and makes for a much better handling machine. In addition, 245/275 tire combo's are VERY popular on our side of the pond and certainly not 'too much tire' for either track or DD use. This is common knowledge on the 'other' forum you frequent, so I find it odd that you spill this tripe here.

i do feel that et 22 isnt optimum on our cars ;-) and I dont like the 245/275 tyre combo, and ill take a conservative offset anyday... just my opinion really....i guess that what makes life beautiful, why such an aggressive post??? no need really... its the internet.. calm down john wayne.......
