Which tyres for my 19" Manharts?

Post by AC5L4T3R » Tue Jun 01, 2021 8:49 pm

I'm looking at replacing the tyres on my Manhart Concave Ones which are currently

19 x 9.5 ET 50 rears with 255 30 19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport

19 x 8.5 ET 40 front’s with 225 35 19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport

Will 235's fit on the front? 225 PS4's on Autodoc are PS4 XL where as the 235's and 255's are normal PS4. Is there a difference?

Same with the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2's. 225 is RT2 XL and the 255 is just RT2.

Any help is much appreciated, cheers.

I suggest 235/35 + 265/30. They will fit with no problems thanks to proper offsets.
Alpina had those tyres with similar offsets, even sizes were the same 8,5 + 9,5.

I was thinking getting 35's on the rear to fill the arches a bit more. Feel like they're a bit "thin" at the back.

265/30 compared to 255/30 has got more side wall, not much but still I consider it okayish.
If you put 265/35 you will rub and secondly there would be too much of a difference compared to fronts 235/35 in cirumference.
This is how 265/30 looks on a rim 9,5x19. Keep it in mind that those are Michelin PSS, it will not be as wide and as good looking on, for example, goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 3 or 5.
225/35 and 255/30 are a joke not a tyre on 19". Carpet thin.
