Evening All,
I have been having a look into purchasing a set of CSL alloys for my recent Z4M Roadster. Unfortunately I have been advised that BMW have no stock of the fronts due to BBS in administration.
From reading the forum etc I am under the impression the sizes are as follows;
Front 8.5Jx19 ET44 - Pt No. 36112282650
Rears 9.5Jx19 ET26 - Pt No. 36112282999
I have noticed you can still purchase the following front 163M but I’m unsure on fitment and any slight differences? Looks as if this is an American model that wasn’t a CSL
Front 8Jx19 ET47 - Pt No. 36112282895
Appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this
Cheers

It looks like the 8J x 19 was fitted to the CS rather than the 8.5J for the CSL.

Thank you for the reply and topic thread. I did think this was the case as I saw mentioning of a US spec ZCH? Assuming that’s a CS but an American version.Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 10:35 pm This thread may help you:- viewtopic.php?f=7&t=121134&hilit=CSL

I have no clue when it comes to wheel sizes / fitment etc. From that thread I am guessing the 8J aren’t a match and require spacers to be so? Love the look but don’t particular want to be adding spacers etc.

I don't think The 8J ET47 version would need a spacer to fit. It's just going to sit 3mm further into the wheel-arch than an 8.5J ET44 wheel, but shouldn't rub as the rim is half an inch narrower.
But it might look better with a spacer!

I’ll have to have a search through the forums and see what I can find on 8J alloys.
Would I be right in saying the 8J is width and ET44 is something to do with camber ? Never fully understood wheels other than the diameter aha!
Cheers

Yes, 8J is the width of the rim. ET is the offset, so a reflection of the difference between the centre-line of the wheel and the face that sits on the hub.Elliot5927 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 8:38 pmI’ll have to have a search through the forums and see what I can find on 8J alloys.

224s are 8J on the front, but are ET42 (BMW call it IS) so a 5mm spacer on those ET47 fronts would have them sitting in the same place as a 224.
